Antique Wringer Case Study
Issue:
We were approached by two customer one in England and one in
Idaho. Both we trying to restore antique wringers that had
been in their families for generations. The rubber rollers
used to wring the water of of the clothing had long since
deteriorated and they were left with old rusty metal cores,
one with a handle to drive the wringer during use.
Objective: To provide both customers with
authentic looking refurbished wringer rollers at price that
met with their limited budgets.
J.J. Short Processes: We researched wringers
to determine the appropriate hardness, color and type of
material to use. We worked with our customers to make sure the
finish diameters of the rollers were proper for the frame they
sat in.
Results: Happy customers and a quality job as
shown in the picture above, shred by our customer in Idaho. We
understand both wringers not only look good but function as
designed! Being a small, family owned business we are willing
to work with most inquiries large and small. Even in those
instances when we cannot help out we strive to guide the
customer to a source that might be able to help them further.
In this case, we had fun working with both customers
respectively to make their goal of refurbishing their antique
wringers and making them functional a reality, all without
breaking the bank.
We are happy to consider inquiries
for one to thousands of rollers and parts and each inquiry
gets the same level of quality service that J.J. Short
Associates had been bringing to the marketplace for 2
generations and over 30 years!
